A Fly Ball from Left Field at Moonbat Park

or: ain’t it amazin’ what some people will do and then call it “research?”
Let’s get a couple of things out right up front, here. I have laryngitis. ["What?" stop saying that!] For a week, now. b] I am tired of it already. [that happened within, oh, the first 20 minutes. Now -- fuggeddaboudit.] 3] I am so fukkeen bored, not to mention feverish and achy, that I will actually follow a link, end up at a sentence that reads thus, “It would appear that I am not the only one wearing a tin foil hat,” and keep reading the entire rant.
Here is what I learned:
The reason the world media dropped the B3rg story is that his father was speaking literally when he accused Bushco of killing his son. Here is your evidence: [and your sign]
* The son was never released from US custody, hence the orange jump suit he wore.
* The guy swathed from head to toe on the video was wearing a gold ring and didn’t have a fake leg. [!!!] OR a Jordanian accent. [OR retractible green antenna -- but that's not important, now...]
* The other swathed, shrieking men on the video were too fat!!! And one moved like a woman.
* Zarkawi never denied his involvement with the killing. Which means he must be dead. [ QED, DDT, BVD, E. Z. ]
and . . .
wait for it . . .
* The video of the killing and the Abu Graib sex video were shot with the same camera.
Well, there you have it. *dusts hands* All tied up. All we have to do is await the next joint effort between Hollywood and the CIA.
.
I began to wonder, after the aspirin kicked in, what is it that is so attractive, so alluring about these conspiracy theories that are based on the idea that 1] everything you/we know is wrong, 2] everyone and everything that we are taught to trust are, in actuality, elaborately conceived and executed plots to deceive the American people and, indeed, the entire world, 3] there is never any clear or apparent gain to be had as an end result of all that work.
The appeal is clearly not a rational one, so I searched the emotional fields. According to Stanislavski, every human feeling and urge –everything that makes up human-ness — is contained in each of us. Therefore, all the actor has to do to produce a genuine performance is reach inside and grasp the relevant bit. Sure, few of us have experienced the real and genuine urge to kill a man, but we have experienced the urge to kill that damn mosquito. From that beginning, an actor will be able to access that part of the Human Psyche which lies within each of us and create a genuine portrayal of a murderer. It is related to Jung’s concept of the shared unconscious.
So I wandered ’round that part and came up with some possibilities.
IF everything I know is wrong, and everyone I am ‘supposed to’ trust is actually completely false, I don’t have to hold myself to any difficult or pesky Values or standards, either. I can do whatever I want, just like they do.
IF everything I know is wrong, and everyone I am ‘supposed to’ trust is actually completely false, I am smarter than just about everyone because I can see through all that guff to the *real* Truth and they just fall for it. Poor fools.
IF everything I know is wrong, and everyone I am ‘supposed to’ trust is actually completely false, I am needed as a heroic exposer of untruth. I can be the one who Rescues everyone else from being duped.
IF everything and everyone are actually completely false, I am the ultimate victim. I am overpowered by their badness and it would be foolish for me to even try to play in the game, because I caaaaaan’t win. No one can.
IF everything I know is wrong, and everyone I am ‘supposed to’ trust is actually completely false, all that stuff isn’t worth paying attention to. It is murky and difficult enough, anyway, but if everyone is lying, I don’t have to bother. What would be the point?
IF everything I know is wrong, and everyone I am ‘supposed to’ trust is actually completely false, I refuse to pay attention to them, and all that world events stuff. I am *above* it all, superior because, if *I* were in that position, *I* would *never* lie or do bad things. I’m not like that.
Am I out in left field at Moonbat Park?if so, it’s the fever and I need you to tell me right away: if not, it’s all me!
